Mainly dry day expected for Southern Colorado – 8/15/19

TODAY: Mostly sunny skies are in the forecast for much of today with hot temps climbing to the low and upper 90s. Our mountain cities will warm to the 70s and 80s. A few showers and storms are possible along and south of Highway 50 between 3pm and 7pm tonight, but severe weather is not expected.

TONIGHT: Mostly clear to partly cloudy. Lows will drop into the 50s and 60s with 40s in the mountains and high country.

EXTENDED: More widespread showers and storms are possible tomorrow with the chance for a strong one or two. We dry out of the most part over the weekend and stick with the quiet weather through Monday. Highs stay in the 80s and 90s for the rest of the week and the weekend.
