Garden of the Gods grows in diversity of visitors each year

Park administrators at Garden of the Gods say the iconic landmark is growing in popularity every year.

“People are realizing what’s here and what this view is like,” said Bret Tennis, who is the park operations administrator. “Everybody wants to come check it out.”

Tennis says almost six million people walk through the park every year, and the area is seeing visitors from more unique countries.

“The formation is amazing,” said Marta Krawccyk, who is originally from Poland and visiting her son in Colorado. “We are basically grateful and happy that we made the choice to start with Garden of the Gods.”

Mansi Suratwala, who lives in Texas but was born in India, said even her younger kids enjoy walking through the park.

“We can see why it is so amazing,” Suratwala said. “Just because of the red rocks and the beautiful scenic views.”
