6 teens accused of girl’s sex assault at Denver-area party

Police in suburban Denver say six male teens are accused of sexually assaulting a girl at a party.

Englewood police said Friday that five teens, ranging from 16 to 19, have been arrested and that they expect to arrest a sixth soon.

Police say alcohol and marijuana was at the party attended by about a dozen teens where the girl was assaulted.

The girl and some of the suspects are students at Englewood High School. The others are students at other schools in the city.

The school district says it’s working to keep the victim safe in school and offering support and counseling to students.

Police say the investigation started Sunday after the girl, who had been reported missing, was found and told authorities she had been sexually assaulted.
