Boulder County authorities seize 70 lbs of pot

Authorities say they have busted an illegal marijuana distribution operation that yielded eight arrests and the seizure of 70.6 pounds of processed pot, along with $21,761 in cash.

The Denver Post reports the Boulder County Drug Task Force and the sheriff’s office, along with authorities in Brevard County, Fla., made the bust in Nederland on Thursday after an investigation into the illegal distribution of pot from Colorado to the East Coast.

Authorities say the suspects intended to sell the marijuana for $231,000.

Arrested on distribution charges were 34-year-old Ray Eric Aguilar, 22-year-old Neil Procise Bender, 47-year-old Mark Edward Denny, 46-year-old Jesse Wayne Lehan, 53-year-old William Patrick Micucci, 33-year-old Robert Edgar Wynder, 39-year-old Michael Brown Zelaya and 34-year-old Robert Leyba Jr.
