12-year-old hurt, man in critical condition after Denver shooting

KMGH-TV reports two people were shot during a series of carjackings Monday afternoon.

The station reported that one man is in critical condition and a 12-year-old was grazed by a bullet.

The shooting happened around 4:45 p.m. at the intersection of West 14th Avenue and Newton Street.

Police told KMGH that after the shooting, the gunman stole a postal service truck at West 24th Avenue and Julian. He jumped out of that truck and carjacked another driver at West 29th Avenue and Irving Street.

The gunman is still on the loose.

The Denver Police Department tweeted that the suspect is possibly a Hispanic or light-skinned black male wearing a blue bandana on his head.
