Rent for a two bedroom up nearly 10% in Colorado Springs
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- It might seem difficult to find affordable housing in the Springs, and it's not just your imagination.
According to this month's Zumper National Rent Report, Colorado Springs is tied with Durham, North Carolina as the 54th most expensive rental market in the nation. Denver sits in at 17th and Aurora is 46th.
In the Springs, median rent for a one bedroom came in at $990 per month, while rent for a two bedroom is $1,220.
Notably, the median rent for a two bedroom has increased 9.9% compared with this time last year, according to the data.
