Above average temperatures and dry

Tonight:  Mostly clear and cool with low temperatures in the 40s and 50s for most areas, but the high mountain valleys could fall into the 30s. Patchy low clouds could develop over mainly northeastern Colorado late, but should remain mostly to our north.

Sunday:  Mostly sunny, breezy at times and very warm with high temperatures in the 80s and 90s for the plains, mainly 70s over the mountains.

Extended:  Monday looks mostly sunny, breezy, and hot. Clouds will increase on Tuesday with spotty showers and thunderstorms possible during the afternoon.  Significantly cooler air looks to get very close to our area starting Wednesday, and if so we would expect scattered showers and thunderstorms to remain possible for a couple of days. We’ll likely be cooler too the latter half of next week, but how much cooler is a little difficult to pin down just yet.
