Man arrested in connection to shooting in South Pueblo

PUEBLO COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) -- A man was arrested on Monday afternoon for allegedly being involved in a shooting in South Pueblo.

On Saturday, Pueblo police received a report of a fight call at the 1000 block of E. Evans Ave, just after 10 p.m.

At the scene, police found a man and a woman who suffered from serious injuries following the shooting. Both victims were transported to a nearby hospital to get treatment but police say they are expected to survive.

Police have identified the suspect as 29-year-old, Ryan Bobby Cruz.

Cruz has previously been arrested for Possession of a Weapon by Previous Offender, First-Degree Assault, Felony Menacing, Aggravated Motor Vehicle Theft.

He has been arrested for the following charges: Attempted First-Degree Murder (two counts), Possession of a Weapon by Previous Offender, and Parole Hold.
