EL PASO COUNTY, Colo (KRDO) -- According to the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, El Paso County saw 907 new COVID-19 cases and 1 new COVID-related death within the last 24 hours.

Pueblo County saw an increase of 374 new COVID-19 cases. Starting Sunday at 5 p.m., Pueblo County moves to Level Red. Restrictions at this level include an end to indoor dining and the last call for alcohol will be at 8 p.m.

Throughout Colorado, 15 other counties are moving to Level Red Friday, November 20.

In a press conference Friday, Governor Polis said 1 in every 49 Coloradans statewide are likely contagious. When asked how some counties are avoiding being moved to Level Red, Polis said that is to give counties an opportunity to reverse their outbreaks.

El Paso County moved to Level Orange restrictions last Friday, November 13. On Tuesday, local leaders said they support El Paso County keeping the current restrictions.

  1. People stop going to testing like cattle. It is literally meaningless on your individual level. It only gives ammo to the State to further restrict your freedoms. If you are not sick, why get tested at all. If you are sick and test positive – who cares. It literally changes nothing about your condition or treatment. If you get sick enough to go to the hospital, you are getting tested there anyway. So, to reiterate. Testing does exactly ZERO other than to promote fear and further restrictions.

    1. Yes, please don’t bother to find out if you have a virus that you can and almost certainly will spread to all those you associate closely with. A virus that may cause others to lose business, employment, their own health, the ability to care for others, not to mention it may land your elderly loved ones in the hospital, often to die alone.

So, to reiterate… Testing does exactly nothing to stop you from getting the virus, but everything to identify who is at risk of further health problems as well as potentially dangerous to anyone they may encounter.

Talk about fear…If stupid, selfish people weren’t so afraid of wearing a mask and paid attention to actual medical professionals, we would have been done with this months ago. Thanks for nothing.

      1. Airborne particles from symptomatic carriers spread it… You’re a moron and wasting resources if you go and get tested while asymptomatic, and if you are symptomatic, you should be taking steps to prevent spreading it regardless of if it’s Covid or something else. So either way getting tested is not beneficial and doesn’t change anything for ANYONE.

  2. Wear a mask when you’re at the market and stay away from people and parties for a bit pretty simple but folks won’t so prep for more stuff being limited or shutdown
