COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo (KRDO)--

Sunshine ruled the skies Saturday afternoon, and with clear skies in the forecast, we can expect a chilly night. Expect low temperatures in the mid 30s early Sunday morning.

There's plenty of sunshine of the forecast for Sunday, and plenty of fresh air with winds out of the Southwest. But an approaching storm system will fire off a few late night thunderstorms over the Palmer Divide and Southeast Plains. Some of these overnight storms could be severe, with large hail and damaging winds.

The rest of next week will be breezy and mild with showers expected again on Tuesday.
