Fatal crash, possible hit-and-run, at Hancock and Monica under investigation

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Colorado Springs Police tells us one person has died in a hit and run crash Sunday afternoon.

Authorities responded to the two-vehicle crash just after 1 p.m. at Hancock Expressway and Monica Drive W. A duty lieutenant with CSPD says investigators believe a suspect vehicle fled after hitting another vehicle. A male victim died at the scene.

CSPD is asking drivers to avoid the area while the Major Crash Team investigates.

Police have not provided a description of the suspect vehicle at this time. Check back here for updates.
