Police asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect in a Colorado Springs robbery

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO )-- The Colorado Springs Police Department needs the public's help in identifying a suspect involved in a robbery earlier this month. It happened on February 7th, at the Safeway on Centennial Blvd.

The suspect was caught on camera stealing a purse from an elderly woman.  Surveillance footage shows an elderly woman walking into the store, just before a man starts grabbing her purse off her arm and dragging her to the ground.

Officers say the man left the area on a bike and was last seen speaking with a woman who may be a witness to the incident.
