COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) - In honor of Larry H. Miller birthday celebration, the founder of the Larry H. Miller dealerships, employees throughout Colorado will put to action his quote that people should "go out into the world and do good until there is too much good in the world."

Larry H. Miller, who passed away in 2009, strongly supported giving back in the communities where he did business and lived by this philosophy.

Tuesday, 85 Larry H. Miller employees in the Colorado Springs area kicked off a week of service with a variety of community service projects.

Some employees volunteered at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, cleaning out animal cages and helping out the staff with anything they need. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, they had two different groups attending throughout the day.

Later in the day, some employees volunteered at the Pikes Peak Habitat for Humanity.

The event is usually held on April 26 but was expanded to a Week of Service this year to allow more volunteers to participate while following COVID-19 safety guidelines.
