Man dies following Colorado Springs crash, first traffic fatality of 2020 – KRDO

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) - One man is dead following a single-car crash early Friday morning.

Police responded to Templeton Gap Road near Corinth Drive (MAP) just before 4:30 a.m.

Further investigation revealed that the man was traveling eastbound on Templeton Gap Rd. when he hit a southbound curb, crossed through traffic and then hit a tree.

The man died on the scene. His identity has not been released.

According to police, this is the first traffic fatality of 2020.

At this time we do not know if speed, alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash.

Templeton Gap Rd. was closed between Corinth Dr. to Oakwood Dr. for several hours.
