Motorcyclist dies 11 days after crash in Colorado Springs

A motorcyclist who sustained serious injuries after a crash in south Colorado Springs earlier this month has died, according to Colorado Springs police.

CSPD reported Friday that 41-year-old Anthony S. Moore of Black Forest died Thursday, 11 days after a serious crash on the Martin Luther King, Jr. bypass.

The crash happened around 1:15 a.m. on Aug. 4. Police officers found a motorcycle that had driven off the road, and Moore was found nearby.

Police say Moore lost control while attempting to exit Interstate 25 at the bypass, and he was ejected from the motorcycle.

Officers say excessive speed and alcohol impairment are suspected factors in the crash. Moore wasn’t wearing a helmet when the crash happened.
