Body of missing teen, dog found in Montrose canal
Authorities recovered the body of a 17-year-old man at Drop Five Hydroelectric Generation Plant Monday afternoon.
The Plant is located near Pahgre Road and the South Canal.
KDVR reports, the Montrose County Coroner confirmed the news and identified the teen as Connor Imus. The recovery came a day after the Montrose County Sheriff’s Office was alerted to the missing teen.
According to the Associated Press, authorities also recovered Imus’ dog in the search.
Imus was an all-conference and honorable mention all-state basketball player at Montrose High School.
The investigation is ongoing.
The manner and cause of death will be released following an autopsy.
