‘Baby Shark’ to team up with Netflix for TV series

The smash-hit and viral song “Baby Shark” just got a whole new gig.

Bloomberg reports the video’s creators are now working with the video streaming service Netflix to create a Baby Shark television show.

Pinkfong also says that in addition to short videos on Netflix, there’s a cartoon series in the works as well as a North American musical.

According to a report, the creators are also looking to release content for older children, ages 5 through 8.

The original “Baby Shark” video has over 2 billion views on YouTube and was named on Billboards Top 40 Hit List.

‘Baby Shark’ is proving its popularity in 2018 as it climbs to the top of Billboards Top 40 Hits.

According to ABC 22, the song ranked number 32 on the Top 100 hits list. The song has also become a popular meme among people on the internet. They are taking the song and creating the “Baby Shark Challenge.”

If you are not familiar with the challenge, listeners are encouraged to mimic the movements of the ‘Baby Shark’ song (from youngest shark to oldest shark) by moving their hands back and forth to appear to be biting.

The song’s exact origins date back to decades but was recently recreated in 2016 by Pinkfong, a South Korea-based educational brand. The so-called “Baby Shark Challenge” has listeners dancing along to the song and following its commands. Parents and children are taking heed to this challenge with social media services, such as the app TikTok
