Marty’s Sunday Morning Forecast – Still Pretty Warm – 1/6/19

Today: Partly cloudy and breezy to windy at times with falling temperatures from west to east during the afternoon. High temperatures should reach to 50s to near 60 along the I-25 corridor, 60s for the plains east of I-25 and mainly 40s over the mountains. The San Luis Valley will remain much colder again today. Snow will fall over the ski resorts during the day and combined with the wind will result in winter driving conditions over the high country.

Tonight: Partly cloudy and windy at times over and near the mountains with occasionally gusts over 40 mph possible. It’ll be breezy at times away from the mountains as well but the gusts shouldn’t be as strong. Expect low temperatures in the 20s and 30s for the plains, teens and 20s over the mountains.

Extended: Monday looks to be a windy day for many areas with gusts over 30 mph likely at times, but the snow should remain confined to the high country. We don’t expect any significant precipitation over eastern Colorado this week, and although the air won’t be as warm as it will be today we’ll remain well above average most days.
