Mostly dry and hot today – 8/30/18

TODAY: We start things out dry and sunny this Thursday morning! By the afternoon, highs climb to the 90s in the lower elevations with 70s to near 80 in the mountains. Places out over the Eastern Plains will likely reach a 100 degree reading or two. There is a chance for a stray shower or storm this afternoon. Nothing should be of any significance, because the air is very dry today. Clouds will be on the increase through the second half of the day.

TONIGHT: We will see mostly cloudy skies with gradual clearing into morning. Lows will be in the 50s and 60s.

EXTENDED: Moisture chances continue to increase into the holiday weekend. Right now Saturday and Sunday look to be the rainiest of the two days. Because rain chances now look higher, highs will also be cooler and should only warm into the 70s and 80s. We keep spotty storms in the forecast every day into the middle of next week. Highs stay fairly steady in the 70s and 80s.
