BREAKING: Police respond to shooting near Memorial Park

Colorado Springs police officers responded to a shooting around 8:45 p.m. Monday just South of Prospect Lake and Logan Ave in the 1300 block of East Las Animas Street. (MAP)

Police have confirmed five shell casings were found near the location and one man was taken to the hospital where he died from his injuries. Police have not identified the victim.

According to a witness, the driver could be in a white hatchback. Police do not have any details about possible suspects and have not released any other information at this time.
