One more quiet weather day – 8/13/18

TODAY: We will have mostly sunny skies for the first part of the day. By the afternoon, winds will be more easterly. This should help a little bit more cloud cover move in (so we’ll call it partly cloudy). A stray shower or storm is possible this afternoon in Teller County, but most activity should be around the Continental Divide. An area of low pressure to our east could also kick off a few afternoon and evening showers over the plains. Highs today will be in the 80s and 90s, with 70s for the mountains.

TONIGHT: Mostly clear to partly cloudy and dry. Lows will be in the 50s and 60s tonight, with 40s in the mountains.

EXTENDED: The pattern becomes pretty active as we head into the next several days. Storms return to the forecast tomorrow and stick with us right into next weekend. Right now, it looks like Wednesday could bring some strong to severe storms, so that will be our next day to keep a close eye on. Highs this week stay steady in the 70s, 80s and 90s.
