Leah Prichett is a bad mamma jamma

“I like going fast,” says NHRA Top Fuel driver Leah Prichett. Going fast is an understatement for a drag racer. They go from zero to an insane 300 miles per hour in four seconds.

“So I too have never been in space but we all know that warp speed looks like for Star Wars. So for me inside of it, I launch at 4G forces off the hit. We get to half track, we’re pulling more than 300 miles per hour and I hit 6G forces and then on shutdown you get negative 6G forces in a matter of four seconds. It’s a roller coaster ride for my body,” says Prichett. So that first time you hit 300 you thought am I crazy? Or this is fantastic? “The first time I did it I kid you not, I left the line, I got to the finish line and I shut down, parachutes out. My brain was was still 1320 feet behind me, ” says Prichett.
Leah Prichett is a bad mamma jamma, she is one of the most popular drivers on the NHRA circuit and she is an inspiration to young girls, “I am very humbled especially when young girls want to become future race car drivers because they see that women can do too,” says Prichett.
Prichett is passionate about drag racing and she doesn’t see herself pursuing another form of racing, says Prichett. “I couldn’t just flip flop over into Indy car or into Nascar because I don’t have that disciple that background. I thought about it a couple of times but drag racing is where my heart’s at,” says Prichett.
