Hotter temperatures with drier weather – 07/18/18

Today: We’ll be cranking up the heat today (and tomorrow) in southern Colorado! That’s the biggest part of our weather story today. Highs will be reaching the 90s in the lower elevations with the 80s for the higher terrain. Partly to mostly sunny skies are expected. We’ll be primarily dry; however, we can’t entirely rule out an isolated storm over the mountains. Stay cool and enjoy the quieter weather!

Tonight: Partly cloudy skies are on tap for southern Colorado overnight. Lows drop to the 50s and 60s.

Extended: Thursday will be very similar weather-wise to what we’re tracking today, but it will be even hotter! Some in the southeastern could hit the triple digits! Take breaks from being outside, stay hydrated and find some shady spots. Friday through the remainder of our seven day forecast, storm chances increase. Temperatures drop noticeably Monday and Tuesday thanks to a cold front late Sunday.
