Texas toddler bit by rattlesnake curled up in child’s toys

A one-year-old boy was playing outside his Texas home Tuesday, but while he was playing with toys, he got his hand bitten by a rattlesnake.

Harrison Bakke is recovering and received 19 vials of anti-venom after the bite, according to KTXS in Abilene.

A city spokesperson said a one-foot rattlesnake had been curled up in the child’s toys and bit him on the right hand.

The boy was taken to a hospital in Abilene before being transported to Cook Children’s Medical Center in Fort Worth. He’s expected to be OK after a few more doses of anti-venom.
