More Fire Danger Tuesday 4-30-18

TONIGHT: Cloud cover increases through early tomorrow morning keeping lows in the 40s.

TOMORROW: Fire danger remains high tomorrow but not as widespread or as extreme as today. A front will bring slightly higher humidity, although winds will still be breezy with gusts in the 30s and 40s. Red Flag Warnings are in effect from Noon to 8 p.m. tomorrow over the San Luis Valley and from Pueblo down to Trinidad and over to Springfield. Highs still climb to the 60s and 70s. The Southeastern Plains will again warm to the 80s. Clouds linger through the morning with a little more sunshine by the afternoon. A few isolated storms will be possible, mainly over the higher terrain.

EXTENDED: Slightly better chances for storms arrive by Wednesday and Thursday. Temperatures become cold enough Wednesday night to support a change over to snow over the Palmer Divide, Teller County and along the Eastern Mountains. Light accumulations may be possible on grassy areas. Temps cool off to the 50s and 60s Wednesday and Thursday. Highs stay in the 40s for our mountain cities on Thursday. The forecast dries out again by Friday and the weekend with warmer temperatures.
