Weather alert day Saturday – 02/09/18

Today: We’ll have partly sunny skies and quiet conditions. However, tomorrow features active weather! For today, temperatures will reach the 50s and 60s along the I-25 corridor with cooler temperatures in the eastern plains because of a cold front.

Tonight: Mostly cloudy skies will take us overnight. Lows drop to the teens and 20s. Into early Saturday, there could be a “wintry mix” – some freezing drizzle in the lower elevations with light snow in the local mountains. Even still, there’s a better chance for seeing increasing snow by the afternoon.

Extended: Saturday afternoon into early Sunday, we have chances for light-to-moderate snow. In a few cases, snow could come down heavily! This will be producing a few inches of accumulations all across the lower terrain. Travel will become difficult, and roads will be slick and slushy. Temperatures tomorrow only climb to the 20s and 30s. We’ll be drier and sunnier Sunday. Next work week, there could be a few moments of gusty conditions.
