WANTED: Suspect accused of critically injuring man in Pueblo

Pueblo police are trying to track down a man they say assaulted and critically injured another man.

Police are looking for Jesus Lopez. He’s accused of assaulting a 62-year-old man in the 2700-block of Sprague Avenue during a disagreement over a vehicle. Officers learned about the incident when they were called to a hospital for information about a victim of an assault on June 9.

The victim was last known to be in intensive care with a head injury, police said.

Lopez is wanted on charges of second-degree assault.

If you have any information about this case or Lopez’s whereabouts, call Crime Stoppers at 542-STOP.
