Shots fired during attempted car theft in Pueblo

Police say at least one shot was fired during an attempted car theft in Pueblo Sunday.

The crime happened in the 2000 block of Carlee Drive, near S. Prairie Avenue and Ivywood Lane, on the city’s south side.

The call came in at 3:19 p.m. after police say a man caught two other men trying to steal his car.

Police say the victim chased the would-be thieves, and that one of them pulled out a gun and fired at least one shot at him.

Police say the suspects got away in a white and black two-door Acura with a black hood, black trunk and black rear spoiler.

No one was hurt.
