3 in custody following armed robbery
A police officer was treated for minor injuries following an armed pursuit of a truck, according to the Pueblo Police Department.
The chase began after a report of an armed robbery at the Sonic Drive-In in the 2000 block of Oakshire Lane, at about 7 p.m. Sunday.
Responding officers located the truck while it was driving away from the scene.
The truck matched the description of a truck that had been stolen in Otero County, according to investigators, and was occupied by one man and two women.
Police chased the suspects through downtown Pueblo and into the south side of the city, where they rammed two police cruisers and two other vehicles.
Several shots were reported coming from the truck, but no one was hit by the bullets.
The chase ended in the 2300 block of Lakeview Avenue, where all three suspects were taken into custody without incident.
One of the female suspects was taken to the hospital for several injuries. A Pueblo police officer who was in one of the damaged squad cars was also treated at the hospital for minor injuries.
The investigation remains ongoing, and the identities of the suspects have not been released.
