Firefighters working to contain grass fire in Pueblo County

Firefighters are responding to a grass fire near Highway 50, near 62nd Lane in Pueblo County, east of the city of Pueblo.

Crews are still working to determine the size of the fire, but tell KRDO NewsChannel 13 they don’t believe any structures are threatened at this time.

The flames are visible from a distance.

While investigators don’t know the cause, there were reports of lightning strikes in the area when the fire started late Sunday night.
