Police: Woman spits out hard-boiled egg during Springs traffic stop
One woman is under arrest after an unusual traffic stop in Colorado Springs.
It happened Wednesday morning around midnight at the intersection of Navajo Street and Tejon Place, south of downtown.
Police say an officer pulled over a vehicle for having a headlight out. As he approached the car, a woman, later identified as Brianne Martin, opened the driver’s side door and spit out a hard-boiled egg she said she had been choking on.
The officer smelled marijuana coming from inside the vehicle and found a sandwich bag with suspected marijuana inside.
Police say Brianne Martin was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of drugs. She was also driving without a valid driver’s license and was on felony probation.
After her arrest, police say investigators found what appeared to be cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine and morphine pills inside the car as well as scales and sandwich bags.
