Vehicle hits pole, parked vehicle & construction equipment in COS

Police responded to a traffic accident on Wednesday where a man hit several objects before landing in a construction yard off S. Sahwatch and E. Moreno Streets.

According to the CSPD, a white truck was traveling southbound on Sahwatch Street when it hit a utility pole and a parked vehicle on the side of the road. Then the driver hit construction equipment and drove through a fence into a construction yard where the vehicle finally stopped.

People nearby as well as medical personnel that arrived soon after the crash were able to save the man’s life.

Major Accident Unit has been put in charge of the investigation.

No details were given on the cause of the accident.
