Colorado Springs police officer injured in fight

Around 2 a.m. Sunday, a fight involving several people broke out in the 00 block of North Tejon Street.

As responding police officers and security officers were attempting to break up the disturbance, Ivan Rios intervened and struck a police officer in the head.

Rios was taken into custody and charged with assault in the second degree.
