No charges for officer, woman arrested in sex assault case

Prosecutors will not charge a Denver police officer and a woman who were arrested in a sex assault case.

The police department announced Friday that charges are not warranted after new evidence was uncovered during the investigation involving 31-year-old officer Davin Munk and 47-year-old Angiella Arnot. No other information was released.

Munk, a 3-year veteran of the force, was arrested on suspicion of sex assault and felony menacing stemming from an incident that happened while he was off-duty in late April. He remains suspended, now with pay, pending the outcome of an internal investigation.

Court records don’t list attorneys for either person, and documents in the case have been sealed.

Munk did not immediately return a call for comment Friday, and attempts to find a number for Arnot were unsuccessful.
