Wildfire burning in Fremont County
The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office says a wildfire is burning at the eastern edge of Cañon City.
The fire is burning south of Highway 50 and east of Mackenzie Avenue.
The Cañon City Fire Department has requested assistance from the Fremont County Wildland Fire team.

No roads are closed and no evacuations have been ordered, but you are asked to avoid the area if possible.
