Garden of the Gods Resort breaks ground on new facility

The Garden of the Gods Club and Resort hosted a groundbreaking ceremony Thursday morning in Colorado Springs.

The new addition will be a $10 million, 28,000 square-foot multipurpose building, which will house the club’s new International Health and Wellness Center, plus an expanded spa and salon, and more space for hosting events.

The Wellness Center is designed to be a customized health facility that utilizes medical professionals, including doctors, nurses, fitness specialists and nutritionists, working together to provide a whole person response to wellness and disease avoidance and/or maintenance. Co-owner Brenda Smith outlined its mission.

“(We want) to truly take a customized approach to every patient’s issues and to walk alongside them with a journey, to truly change the quality of their life,” she said.

The new facility is expected to open on Nov. 18th and will be built by G.E. Johnson Construction.
