Emergency responders give new meaning to “I’ll Be Home For Christmas”

Emergency responders gave a new meaning to the song “I’ll Be Home for Christmas.”

American Medical Response provided free rides to several wheelchair-bound nursing home patients.

Frances Shue spent Christmas afternoon with her family in Pueblo, thanks to AMR. Her son, John Shue, said as he’s gotten older, he doesn’t have the strength to transport his mom back and forth like he used to.

“We’ve been buzzing ever since we found out, and it’s very special because we thought that this would be the first year that we wouldn’t be able to have Christmas with her,” John Shue said.

AMR provides free rides to wheelchair-bound patients on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas.
