Springs police say worker at east side business threatened with crossbow
A police dog was called in to help arrest a man who was armed with a crossbow, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department.
The incident happened in the 2500 block of E. Bijou St. at around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.
When officers arrived, the man was pacing around an empty parking lot across the street from the business with his crossbow still in hand.
Police say the man dropped his crossbow, but refused to obey further commands. That’s when K-9 Diesel was sent in. Diesel bit the man. He was then arrested.
Police say the man had threatened to kill one of the employees at the business with the crossbow before officers arrived.
The man, identified as Ancus Marcius Hoffar Bone, was given medical attention for the dog bite and then booked into the Criminal Justice Center.
