ad-lib main weather tonight: any showers end at sunset and mild temperatures will be the big story overnight. lows tonight will drop into the 50s and 60s for the lower elevations, with 40s in the mountains under partly cloudy skies. tomorrow: sunday will be very similar to saturday. highs will reach the high 80s and early 90s across the plains. more unsettled weather will move in during the afternoon. while the storms will be isolated, any storm that develops will be capable of producing heavy rain and lightning. if you are planning to attend the pikes peak international hill climb, be prepared for the elements! highs in the mountains will reach the mid to high 70s. you’ll want everything from sunblock to a raincoat … and keep in mind, it stays pretty chilly near the top! a heavier coat is also recommended. extended: conditions should stay active through most of the week, with at least small chances for showers and storms small chances for showers and storms each day. some of the storms by the middle of next week could be on the strong side. temperatures are also expected to cool off to the low to mid 80s. ad-lib wrap with jay…toss to josh
