CarMax, Home Depot to ramp up hiring
Used car dealership chain CarMax says it plans to hire more than 2,500 workers across the U.S.
The Richmond-based company said in a news release Tuesday that the positions include sales, service operations, purchasing and the business office. Both full-time and part-time positions will be filled.
Some of the areas with a large number of opportunities include Atlanta, Denver, Cincinnati, Salt Lake City and Miami.
CarMax has more than 20,000 employees and operates more than 140 used car superstores, including one in Colorado Springs.

Meanwhile, Home Depot says it’s hiring 80,000 part time workers nationwide ahead of the spring season.
350 of those hires will happen in the Colorado Springs area.
The home improvement retailer has four locations in Colorado Springs, one location in Monument and one location in Pueblo.
The Home Depot store at N. Academy Blvd. in Colorado Springs says stores typically hire between 40 and 80 people throughout the season, depending on the volume of the store.
