Frontier Airlines outsourcing thousands of jobs

More than a thousand Denver-based Frontier Airlines employees have been told that their jobs are being outsourced.

KMGH-TV reports a total of 1,300 positions are being cut, affecting 1,160 airport and reservations employees in Denver.

The airline says the work will be done by partner companies that specialize in these areas and that it hopes some of the laid off workers will get hired by some of those companies.

Frontier said the cuts are necessary to keep the price of tickets low.
