Tailwaggers Celebration raises funds for National mill Dog Rescue

A Colorado Springs event center went to the dogs Friday night.

National Mill Dog Rescue held the Tailwaggers Celebration. It was a fundraiser at the Stargazer Theater.

The organization has rescued more than 9,000 dogs from puppy mills nationwide and placed them with new owners.

Money raised will help the organization rescued dogs from those mills.

“I’ve contacted them directly to say look, you don’t need to kill these dogs at 6 and 7 years old. They still have a lot of life left in them,” said Theresa Strader, founder of National Mill Dog Rescue.
