Body found in search for missing Woodland Park woman
The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said a body was found in the area where searchers are trying to find a missing Woodland Park woman.
The sheriff’s office said it is no longer searching for 57-year-old Kathleen Leber of Woodland Park. But deputies said they cannot release the identity of the body until family is notified.
Leber’s car was found abandoned off the road near highway 67 and Forest Service Road 348 at around 5:30 a.m. The car went through a fence and had minor damage.
The body that was found Monday has not been identified. Detectives say they are now treating this case as a death investigation.
Leber is 5’7″ tall and weighs 115 pounds. She has brown eyes and brown hair. She was last seen wearing a red jacket and blue jeans.
