Caon City deaths investigated as murder/suicide

The Caon City Police Department says the deaths of a man and woman whose bodies were found Thursday night are being investigated as a murder/suicide.

Police say officers were sent to a home in the 700 block of Whipple Ave. at 11:27 p.m. to check on a police department communications officer who didn’t show up for her late night shift and was not answering her phone.

When officers arrived, they found the bodies of Priscilla Samento, 49, and Daniel Samento, 56.

Police say the investigation is ongoing, but that all of the evidence so far points to a murder/suicide.
