South Greenhorn Fire 80% contained

A small forest fire in Huerfano County is now 80% contained. The South Greenhorn Fire is burning in very rough terrain on Greenhorn Mountain, north of Highway 69.

The Huergano County Fire Dept. and a BLM crew from Canon City are on scene.

Less than an acre has burned so far. Crews have hiked in and have established lines.

A lightning strike is reported as the cause of the fire.
