Search for missing Pueblo County Deputy over

A Pueblo County Sheriff’s Deputy who was missing after not appearing for a court appearance in Pueblo has been located and is in custody in Elbert County, Pueblo County Sheriff Kirk Taylor confirmed.

Pueblo Sheriff Kirk Taylor could not confirm any additional information on the circumstances surrounding the capture of Deputy Randal Scott Alire.

Alire was scheduled to appear in Pueblo County Court on Monday in connection to charges he held his girlfriend against her will and assaulted her.

When he did not show up a warrant was issued for his arrest and authorities began searching for him.

His car was located in Elbert County Monday evening and authorities searched that area north of El Paso County late into the night but did not locate Alire.

He was located by Elbert County authorities Tuesday evening.
