Mental health patient missing from Pueblo institute

A mental health patient didn’t return at his designated time on Wednesday afternoon.

46-year-old Donald Jensen was on pass from the Colorado Mental Health Institute at Pueblo around 5 p.m. but didn’t return when he was supposed to.

Jensen is a white male with brown hair and green eyes. He is 6’2″ and weighs 186 lbs.

CMHIP says that when patients are in a controlled environment and are taking their medications, they are not a danger to society. However, there is a potential for them to be a threat to public safety when they are not in a controlled environment.

In 2004, Jensen was found not guilty by reason of insanity to 2 counts of second-degree assault.

If you see Jense, call your local law enforcement agency.
