Power outage in downtown Pueblo

Power has been restored to most people after an outage that affected about 3,900 customers.

According to Black Hills Energy, a transformer failed around 12:30 p.m. Thursday due to an overload. As of 4:00 p.m., all but ten customers have power restored. The transformer is located behind the Black Hills office building near S Victoria Ave and W 1st St. Those still affected are in the immediate downtown area in the HARP corridor.

Crews are currently working to replace the transformer. Black Hills Energy says power should be restored to the final ten customers, which are local businesses, by 6:00 p.m. Thursday.
