High School Tennis Coach Accused Of Sex Assault
A Pueblo tennis coach who has been on unpaid administrative leave by School District 60 for the last three weeks will face criminal charges according to the Colorado Springs Police Department.
Guy Cruz was arrested Tuesday. Police said it had nothing to do with his role as coach and does not involve juveniles.
Police said the charges stem from an accusation made by an adult woman who said Cruz forced her into having sex with him. The unnamed woman was on probation and Cruz was her probation officer, according to police. Cruz no longer works as a probation officer.
A spokesman for School District 60 said it will wait until the criminal process is over before making a decision about Cruz’s future with Central High School’s tennis program.
