UPDATE: Car Thief Caught In Pueblo

Detectives from the Pueblo Police Crimes Against Property Unit successfully tracked down and apprehended a young man wanted for stealing a car.

Around 1:00 p.m. Monday, Pueblo Police officers chased a stolen vehicle driven by 19-year-old Daniel Juarez at 24th Street and Montezuma. Juarez was driving a dark green 1995 Honda Prelude with a tall rear spoiler, chrome wheels, and tinted windows.

The pursuit ended with Juarez last seen driving north in the 1500 block of Greenwood. Officers obtained a $25,000 felony arrest warrant for Juarez. Juarez is a known auto thief and drug user.

Shortly before 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, detectives caught Juarez in the 2400 block of Denver Blvd. in Pueblo.
